Project Statement

MindfulHoliday is an internal project of Estel. Our founder aims to provide a directory for sustainable travel. MindfulHoliday will have a listing with the corresponding sustainable development goal (SDG) category, this will help travelers who aim to promote a long-term approach to addressing global challenges.

Objectives

To be able to have a tool that'll serve as a helpful directory for sustainable travel
To give sustainable travelers a platform to look for accommodations and experiences

The Process

Project Kickoff: Our founder set a meeting with the product manager, the designer, and the developer to further establish the idea that she wants. The product manager created the requirements and the scope based on the project kickoff call.

Designing the Branding: While waiting for the business requirement document, the designer started creating the branding - the logo, color scheme, and proposed typography.

Designing the Website and Mobile App: After the founder chose her preferred logo and approved the branding, the designer started the high-fidelity design for the website. After it was finished, the rest of the team checked the website. And the designer started the mobile application.

Development: After some revisions and refinement, we are ready to start the development of the product.

QA: After the development was completed, the quality analyst engineer started running tests to ensure that there are no bugs in the website and the mobile app.

Outcome

The MindfulHoliday is a web application that will benefit the environment. We haven’t released MindfulHoliday yet as we decided to hold this project for now. With the changes in the internal resources, it’s taking some more time to finish the project. Upon checking as well, to release this project, it will need more funds.
